88 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY, PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS – There were no declarations made at the meeting.

89 MINUTES – Resolved – That the minutes of the meeting of this committee held on 27 November 2014, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and be signed by the chairman.

90 (6) COMPLAINTS SCHEDULE – The Director of Policy and Resources submitted a report updating the committee on progress made with complaints received.

The Director confirmed that all complaints received had been processed in accordance with the council's published arrangements, and brought the committee's attention to three related complaints that had now been locally resolved. He also referred to four complaints received recently in 2015 of which three would be considered by an Assessment Panel on 14 April 2015, and another which had been informally resolved.

The Director responded to questions asked by members.

Resolved – That the report be noted.

91 STANDARDS TRAINING – JUNE 2015 – The Director of Policy and Resources reported orally that two training sessions had been arranged on Friday 26 June 2015 (10am to 12noon) and Monday 29 June 2015 (2pm to 4pm) at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe on Standards arrangements and requirements for new parish and town councillors and clerks following the elections in May 2015. This would be carried out by the council's Monitoring Officer and officers of Democratic Services. Mr A Barker of the East Riding and Northern Lincolnshire Local Councils Association (ERNLLCA) would also be present. Details would be sent to parish and town clerks in due course.

All newly elected North Lincolnshire councillors would receive similar information as part of their induction post election.

Resolved – (a) That the above training sessions be welcomed, and (b) that following these initial training sessions, additional dates be arranged if they become oversubscribed, and consideration also be given to widening the sessions to those councillors/co-opted members who may wish to receive refresher training.
