The committee met at Church Square House, High Street, Scunthorpe.
1980 DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS, SIGNIFICANT CONTACT WITH APPLICANTS OR THIRD PARTIES (LOBBYING) AND WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) - There were no declarations of interests made at the meeting.
1981 MAJOR APPLICATIONS - The Group Manager - Development Management and Building Control submitted a report containing details of major applications for determination by the committee, including summaries of policy context, representations arising from consultation and publicity and assessment of the applications.
(i) PA/2019/1147 by FKX Limited for planning permission to erect an industrial building (B2 Use Class) with new vehicular access from Barrow Road (A1077) and associated parking, emissions abatement plant, surface water drainage attenuation ponds and landscaping at land east of The Nest, Falkland Way, Barton upon Humber.
The Group Manager - Development Management and Building Control provided an update to the committee.
The agent for the application referred to the officer's report, and highlighted it was recommended for approval. He indicated that any technical issues had now been resolved following a great deal of work with the planning officer. He also indicated that it would mean a 120 million pound investment project, and a major boost to the local economy and the job market.
Cllr Poole queried with the Highway officer what the timescales were for the highway improvements to take place on the A1077, and Cllr Grant also asked about the entrance and the possibility of looking into the cycleway that was not good.
Resolved - The planning permission be granted in accordance with the recommendations contained within the officer's report.
