MINUTES

PRESENT: – Councillor Robinson in the chair.

Councillors Gosling (Vice-Chair), Ali, Glover and Mumby-Croft.

The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

10 MINUTE'S SILENCE IN MEMORY OF THE JO COX, MP - The Chairman led a minute's silence in memory of Jo Cox, MP.

11 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) - There were no declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests and personal or personal and prejudicial interests -

No whip was declared.

12 MINUTES - Resolved - That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on 2 June 2016, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chairman.

13 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK - There were no requests received.

14 (4) CABINET MEMBER AND SERVICE AREA PRIORITIES - The Chairman welcomed Councillor Hannigan, Mike Wedgewood and Peter Williams to the meeting, the council's Cabinet Member for Governance and Transformation, Director of Policy and Resources and Director of Places respectively to the meeting.

Councillor Hannigan, Mr Wedgewood and Mr Williams had been invited to the meeting to discuss with members the Governance and Transformation Cabinet Member portfolio and its responsibilities across the Policy and Resources and Places directorates.

Following a verbal presentation, the Chairman facilitated a discussion between panel members and Councillor Hannigan, Mr Wedgewood and Mr Williams.

Resolved - That Councillor Hannigan, Mr Wedgewood and Mr Williams be thanked for their attendance, presentation and for answering members' questions.

15 CONSIDERATION OF WORK PROGRAMME – Members discussed their future work programme and priorities for the 2016/17 municipal year. Potential topics discussed by the Panel for inclusion on the work programme included fly tipping, Safer Roads Humber and Female Genital Mutilation.

Resolved - That at the Panel meeting on 21 July, the Panel receive a presentation on Safer Roads Humber.
