PRESENT: – Councillor Robinson in the chair.

Councillors Gosling (Vice-Chair), Ali, J Davison and Wells.

The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.

18 MINUTES - Resolved - That the minutes of the proceedings of this panel held on 30 June 2016, having been printed and circulated amongst the members, be taken as read and correctly recorded and signed by the chairman.

19 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK - There were no requests received.

20 (5) SAFER ROADS HUMBER - The Chairman welcomed Chris Matthews and Richard Hall, the council's Assistant Director Community Services and Road Safety Team Manager respectively to the meeting.

Mr Matthews and Mr Hall had been invited to the meeting to discuss with members the role of Safer Roads Humber, its responsibilities, priorities and how its performance was managed.

Following a verbal presentation, the Chairman facilitated a discussion between panel members and Mr Matthews and Mr Hall.

Resolved - (a) That Mr Matthews and Mr Hall be thanked for their attendance, presentation and for answering members' questions, and (b) that at the panel's next meeting, members consider the work of Safer Roads Humber in casualty reduction and enforcement.
