MINUTES

PRESENT:- Councillor Mumby-Croft in the Chair.

Councillors Armiger, O'Sullivan, Wells, and Wilson.

The panel met at the Civic Centre, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.

502 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) - Cllrs O'Sullivan and Wilson declared personal interests as RDaSH Lead Governors.

No whip was declared.

503 PUBLIC REQUESTS TO SPEAK - There were no requests received.

504 CABINET MEMBER AND SERVICE AREA PRIORITIES - The Chairman welcomed Cllr Hannigan, Cabinet Member for Adults, Health and Community Wellbeing, to the meeting. The Chairman explained that Cllr Hannigan had been invited to update the panel on his portfolio, local performance, future priorities, and to enable the panel to ask any questions they wish.

Cllr Hannigan gave an overview of local performance, highlighting particular local successes on issues such as adult social care, Delayed Transfers of Care from the acute sector, and intermediate care. Cllr Hannigan then listed a number of areas for future work, including mental health, acute care and the prevention agenda.

The Chairman then invited Members to ask questions. These led to a wide-ranging discussion on topics such as overweight and obesity, Stop Smoking services, school nursing, and staffing across services. Cllr Hannigan responded fully and appropriately throughout.

Resolved - (a) That Cllr Hannigan be thanked for their attendance and for providing answers to members' questions, and (b) that the situation be noted.
