Resolved - That the position be noted.

450 HELPING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THRESHOLD DOCUMENT 2016/20 The Chairman welcomed Mick Gibbs, Director: Children and Community Resilience, to the meeting. Mick gave a detailed presentation on the Threshold Document, describing how it guided the LSCB, the council, and other partners in their roles in supporting people. Mick discussed various issues including referral pathways, balancing formal thresholds with individual stories, joint working, triggers, and safeguarding arrangements. Throughout the discussion, members asked relevant questions.

Following the discussion, members considered their next steps.

Resolved - (a) That the Director: Children and Community Resilience be thanked for his attendance, presentations and for answering members' questions; (b) that the information provided be noted, and (c) that the panel conduct further work at a future meeting to discuss the Terms of Reference, scope and timetable for a scrutiny review into the use of the Threshold Document and related issues.
