Statutory Co-opted Members: Mr S Milner and Mrs P Whittaker (Parent Governor Representatives) W Egan (Church Representative).
The panel met at the Civic Centre, Scunthorpe.
469 DECLARATIONS OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS AND PERSONAL OR PERSONAL AND PREJUDICIAL INTERESTS, AND DECLARATIONS OF WHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS (IF ANY) - Mrs Whittaker declared a personal interest as a foster carer. Cllr Collinson declared a personal interest as he had relatives who worked in the Disability Team.
No whip was declared.

471 CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE'S EMOTIONAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING - ENSURING APPROPRIATE, TIMELY AND INTEGRATED SUPPORT – The Chairman welcomed Darren Chaplin, Head of Access and Inclusion, Dr Ruth Illman, Principal Educational Psychologist and Lead Officer for Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Mags Smithson, Lead Officer: Community Participation and Wellbeing, North Lincolnshire Council, to the meeting.
The Chairman explained that the representatives from the council had been invited to provide an overview of how the local authority assisted and supported local children and young people in respect to their emotional health and wellbeing. Darren, Mags and Ruth gave a detailed presentation on a range of ongoing and planned local work, and how this worked alongside other schemes and support for young people. This included work on topics such as coping, learning, belonging, supporting the core self, etc. which all assisted in providing the necessary components to ensure our young people were as resilient and emotionally healthy as possible.
Members asked questions throughout, including on topics such as local variation, access to support, Young Minds, bullying, and encouraging inclusion. Darren, Ruth and Mags responded fully to these questions.
Resolved - (a) That Darren Chaplin, Dr Ruth Illman, and Mags Smithson be thanked for their attendance, presentation and for answering members' questions; (b) that the information provided be noted, and (c) that the panel take forward the issues raised into their future work.
