9 THE CYGNETS SHORT BREAKS CHILDREN’S HOME - STATEMENT OF PURPOSE – The Director: Learning, Skills and Culture submitted a report seeking approval of the revised Cygnets Statement of Purpose.
All Children’s Homes were required to develop and keep under review a Statement of Purpose, indicating how the home provided individualised care to meet the quality standards for the children in their care.
The current Statement of Purpose was reviewed in October 2019 in consultation with parents.
Resolved - That the changes made to the Statement of Purpose be approved.
10 NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL’S SHORT BREAKS DUTY INFORMATION STATEMENT FOR DISABLED CHILDREN 2017-2020 - The Director: Learning, Skills and Culture submitted a report seeking approval of the updated Short Breaks Duty Information Statement for Disabled Children 2017-2020.
The Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011 placed a statutory duty on Councils to prepare a “statement” to inform parent/carers of the range of Short Break services available in their local area.
The information Statement for Disabled Children 2017-2020 was further updated in November 2019 to reflect the most current situation.
Resolved - That the amendments made to the Short Breaks Duty Information Statement for Disabled Children 2017-2020 be approved.
