North
Lincolnshire Local Access Forum
Applications are invited from people with an interest in the
local environment, to serve on the North Lincolnshire Local Access
Forum. Local Access Forums are
statutory groups who provide advice and recommendations to decision
making organisations, such as councils, about improvements to
public access for outdoor recreation and sustainable travel. The
Forum’s role is to provide guidance and contribute towards
improving opportunities for the public to enjoy North
Lincolnshire’s countryside. There
are approximately 80 Local Access Forums in England.
Applicants are appointed by a selection panel, and members
should serve for initial periods of between one and three
years. The Local Access Forum meets
approximately every four months. The
posts are voluntary and unpaid; however mileage expenses will be
available.
The
Local Access Forum is made up of 17 local people, three of whom are
North Lincolnshire Council elected members. All necessary support, training and guidance will
be provided.
