Minutes:

CHAIRMAN - Resolved - That Councillor Poole be and he is hereby appointed chairman for the meeting.

 

Councillor Poole thereupon took the chair.

Minutes:

There were no declaration of disclosable pecuniary interests or personal and personal and prejudicial interests.

The public are likely to be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Resolved - That the public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item (Minute 409 refers) on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Appeal Against Dismissal (Re-hearing)

Minutes:

The committee considered an appeal against dismissal from an employee of the Economy and Environment service.  The appellant attended the meeting, accompanied by their Trade Union representative, who made submissions and responded to members’ questions.

 

Resolved – (a) That after reading all the documentation contained in the agenda bundle, and after listening to the verbal presentations by both the appellants trade union representative and the local authority representative, the appeal be dismissed, and (b) that the Director: Economy and Environment undertake an operational management review into the operation of all the council’s Household Waste Recycling Centres.
