Resolved - That the public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Confidential Employment Matter (report to follow).

Minutes:

The Director: Economy and Environment submitted a report detailing employment matters and options for resolution for members consideration.

 

The Director specifically referred to statutory guidance and associated regulations. Staffing, legal and financial implications of options presented were also detailed in the report.

 

The committee adjourned to give members additional required time to consider the report in full and then reconvened when members asked questions on its content of the Director: Governance and Communities and the Legal Director: Bevan Brittan (the council’s external legal advisors) who were present at the meeting.

 

It was moved by Councillor Hannigan and seconded by Councillor Poole –

 

(a) That the option detailed in paragraph 3.1 as recommended in paragraph 9.1 of the report be approved.

Councillors L Foster and Swift wished to be recorded as voting against the motion.
