EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC

The public are likely to be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Resolved – That the public be excluded from the meeting for consideration of the following item (minute 116 refers) on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Council Management Structure – Report of the Chief Executive

Minutes:

The Chief Executive submitted a report which considered the management structure of the council to ensure continued leadership and effective resource allocation to enable the council to achieve its outcomes and priorities.

 

          The report considered proposals to adopt the current temporary council management structure on a permanent basis as detailed in the appendix to the report, and also considered permanent designation into the post of Director: Communities and embark on a recruitment process for the statutory posts of Director: Children and Families, Director: Adults and Health and the Monitoring Officer.

 

           Resolved – (a) That the temporary council management structure be adopted on a permanent basis; (b) that the current interim postholder be designated into the  post of Director: Communities on a permanent basis; (c) that the council embarks on the recruitment process for Director: Children and Families, Director Adults and Health and the Monitoring Officer, and (d) that a further report as discussed with the Chief Executive be submitted to a future meeting.
