The corresponding report of the following item (Minute 9 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

9        THE CYGNETS CHILDREN’S HOME – STATEMENT OF PURPOSE – The Director Children and Families submitted a report seeking approval of the revised Cygnets Children’s Home Statement of Purpose.

The Cygnets was a children’s home offering overnight short breaks, and care and accommodation to children with disabilities within North Lincolnshire. The home was last inspected in October 2021, being judged as Outstanding in all areas.

Plans were in place to further enhance the local short break, care and accommodation offer to children with disabilities and their families by the development of a complex care campus which was due for completion in June 2023.

 All Children’s Homes are required to develop and keep under review a Statement of Purpose, indicating how the home provides individualised care to meet the quality standards for the children in their care.

Resolved – That the changes to the Cygnets Children’s Home Statement of Purpose, be approved.
