10      NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE ADOPTION ANNUAL BUSINESS REPORT 2021 - 2022 – The Director Children and Families submitted a report presenting the annual North Lincolnshire Adoption Annual Business Report 2021-2022.

The council’s One Family Approach aimed to create a system that worked for all children, young people and families and the ambition was for children to be in their families, in their schools, and in their communities.

In line with this, adoption in North Lincolnshire was founded on the belief in the right plan for the right child, and adoption decisions were based on achieving the best outcomes for the child.

The report provided an overview of the progress, performance and management of the service and outcomes achieved over 2021/2022.  The Adoption Service operated under various regulatory frameworks including the Adoption National Minimum Standards 2014.

It was a requirement of the above standards that an annual adoption business report was produced detailing the management, outcomes, key developments, populations, financial position, challenges, opportunities and plans of adoption in North Lincolnshire.  The report was also produced in the context of membership of the Family Adoption Links Regional Adoption Agency.
