NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE FOSTERING ANNUAL
BUSINESS REPORT 2021 - 2022 – The
Director Children and Families submitted a report
presenting the annual North Lincolnshire Fostering
Annual Business Report 2021-2022.
The
council’s One Family Approach aimed to create a system that
worked for all children, young people and families and the ambition
was for children to be in their families, in their schools, and in
their communities.
In
line with this, the council believed that local family care was the
best provision of alternative care for most children or young
people who entered the care of the council. Therefore, the fostering provision continued to be
supported and invested in.
North Lincolnshire Fostering operated within the Fostering
Services Regulations 2011, Care Standards Act 2000 and The National
Minimum Standards (NMS) for Fostering.
The
business report provided information and assurance regarding the
effectiveness of fostering in North Lincolnshire and the outcomes
achieved for children.
It
was a requirement of the above standards that an annual fostering
business report was produced. The
Fostering Annual Business Report 2021 – 2022 gave details of
the management, outcomes, key developments, populations, financial
position, challenges, opportunities and plans of the fostering
service in line with the Fostering National Minimum Standard
25.7.
Resolved – That the positive
progress made and further plans for continued development, as set
out in the Fostering Annual Business Report 2021-2022, be
noted.
