Community Grant Applications - Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations 2022 Minutes: 11 COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS – HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN’S PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS 2022 – The Director: Governance and Communities submitted a report considering applications for financial support against the eligibility criteria of the scheme and available funds.
In June 2022, the nation would come together over a four-day Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s 70-year reign, the first time any British monarch had reached this milestone.
The council would enable a range of community led activities and events over the long weekend for communities to mark the historic occasion.
The Safer, Stronger Communities – Rural Cabinet Member had previously agreed the terms of the scheme and allocated funding to support communities across the county to organize and join in the celebrations (minute 8 refers).
Applications had now been received from a broad range of community organisations and assessed against the published criteria.
The Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities – Ashby, Bottesford & Scunthorpe (‘Urban’) was consulted on the Director’s report.
Resolved – That the following amount of Community Grant support be approved:
