26         COMMUNITY GRANT APPLICATIONS – NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE IN BLOOM 2023 – The Director: Governance and Communities submitted a report considering applications for financial support against the eligibility criteria of the In Bloom scheme and confirming the level of community grant support to be awarded as outlined in the report at Appendix 1.

The Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities – Rural resolved in October (minute 22 refers) to allocate funding from the Community Grant Fund to enable communitygroups and Town and Parish Councilsto participate in a seasonal ‘North Lincolnshire inBloom’scheme.

Thescheme engaged communitiesin thecreation of attractive year-round floraldisplays thatvisuallyenhanced the area for residents and visitors.  Indoingso the scheme contributed to the council’s priority of Enabling Resilient and Flourishing Communities by encouraging volunteering and a sense of community pride, supporting our ambition of North Lincolnshire being the Best Place for residents.

The purpose of the report was to set out the applications received for In Bloom funding together with the recommended amount for award based on the scheme’s eligibility criteria.          

Resolved – That the following amounts of grant awards as set out in the report at Appendix 1 (columns F & G) be approved:
