The Chairman and Members welcomed Mr Tony McGinty, Consultant in Public Health to the meeting, who had been invited to discuss with the Panel the Director of Public Health’s Annual Report 2022 titled “the Diverse Communities of Greater Lincolnshire”.

 

Mr McGinty delivered a presentation which informed members of the –

 

Ø  Four community types in Greater Lincolnshire;

Ø  Lower super output areas (Urban Centre, Urban Industrial, Coastal Community and Rural and Market Town) utilised in category analyses;

Ø  Characteristics within Greater Lincolnshire that define

·     Urban Centre Communities

·     Urban Industrial Communities

·     Coastal Communities

·     Rural and Market Town Communities

Ø  Health Outcomes Data for Greater Lincolnshire, and

Ø  Key recommendations included in the Annual Report.

 

Following the presentation, the Chairman facilitated a discussion between the Panel and the Consultant in Public Health.

 

Resolved – (a) That Tony McGinty be thanked for his informative presentation and for responding to members’ questions; (b) that the Director of Public Health's Annual Report 2022 - The Diverse Communities of Greater Lincolnshire be noted, and (c) that the Health Scrutiny Panel monitor the implementation of the six recommendations contained within the Annual Report.
