Land Acquisition

The corresponding report of the following items (Minute 1 refers) contains exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

 

1        LAND ACQUISITION - The Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report seeking approval for an adjustment to the capital programme to support the acquisition of land, and to acquire the land in question, as detailed in the report.

 

As part of Scunthorpe’s Town Investment Plan and Towns Fund Deal, the council were looking to deliver an Advanced Manufacturing Park on a 60acre site allocated within North Lincolnshire.

 

The scheme had been identified as one of several key projects to be delivered under the Towns Fund programme, overseen by the Scunthorpe Towns Fund Board.

 

In order to realise this ambition and to deliver the project, the first phase requires the acquisition of the site.

 

The report set out full details, including financial implications, of the proposed land to be acquired.

 

Resolved – (a) That the relevant capital programme adjustments, as set out in the report, be approved, and (b) that the acquisition of land, as detailed in the report, be approved.
